Let's begin this journey together
If you are looking for motivation, inspiration, or a new outlook on life, you should read this book. It is one of my favorite books and I have no problem reading it over and over again. Rachel takes you on a journey through her life and how yoga has helped her along the way and where she is today.
For those of you who are doing “new year, new me”, good for you! It’s always a good time to better yourself. I just want to touch on a few points to help you to continue strong for the whole year and beyond!
It has come to my attention that people aren’t aware of how to deal with friends or family members who have gone through a sexual assault. I would like to give you all some tips and tricks on dealing with sexual assault right after it happens and dealing with all the issues that come along with it later. I also just want to educate everyone on what sexual assault can do to a person.
You may have noticed I haven’t posted in a few weeks. If you didn’t, hey! Pay attention!
I started Herbalife on November 8, 2017. I weighed in the night before with my coach coming in at 245.4 pounds. So, from Tuesday the 7th to Tuesday the 14th I lost 2.4 pounds. That’s a big win! 1-2 pounds per week is healthy when losing weight, so I am right on track!
I FINALLY feel in the right mind set to start getting back into healthy eating and exercising. It’s been a long rough 2 years of struggling and coping with food and being so depressed I couldn’t get up to do anything active.
“Thoughts are not facts,” that is what my therapist has taught me. The thoughts I am having about how I look and how I feel about myself are NOT facts.
“Who wants to be with someone who just got out of the mental hospital?”
Triggers for me are everywhere. It’s hard to get away from. I sit at work and hear people talking about what’s happening in the news. I scroll through social media and see people talking about sexual assault and get sucked into their comments and become upset. Then I come home and hear my family talk about it. It’s so difficult to cope with.
Be Proud. Be Loud. Be You.
