Anna, The Trainer Who Trains

Exercise has always been a big part of my life. I played sports from the age of 3 to 18 and still participate in fun sport leagues here and there. My favorite part of practices was always training in the gym. Lifting weights, running, speed and agility drills, I could have done it all day long. So, when it came time to decide what I wanted to do with the rest of my life, it wasn’t too hard for me to figure out. I started college off going for physical therapy but quickly realized it wasn’t the type of exercise I was looking for. I switched my major to exercise science and the rest was history.

Today, I hold a bachelor’s degree in exercise science with an emphasis in health-fitness instruction and I am a certified personal trainer as well as holding a certification in fitness nutrition through the International Sports Science Association. I have been in the fitness business for about 7 years now doing multiple internships through gyms and schools as well as working at a few gyms as a personal training and group fitness instructor.

I specialize in weight loss in women and men having once lost over 50 pounds myself. I am also qualified to train athletes and people who have any diseases or disabilities. I can also give nutritional guidelines to clients.

Not only did I transform my own body, trained and ran a half marathon, but I have helped countless other people reach their fitness goals. You could say it’s another one of my passions (aside from yoga)!

Along my own fitness journey, I have had a few other trainers who were inspirational to me. One being Alyse Scaffidi of Bite Sized Fitness and the other being Anna Victoria. Both women have provided motivation and inspiration along my own fitness journey and while training my own clients. Today, I am so proud to be a part of Anna Victoria’s FBG community. All the women are so supportive and I couldn’t be more grateful for one of my best friend’s Breeyn for introducing me.

Currently, I train clients on the side when I’m not at my day job. My goal is to one day combine my love for training and yoga into one and own my own fitness/yoga business. I can only hope to have the following like Alyse and Anna. True inspirations to my journey. I hope to inspire people just as much as these women one day.
