Let's begin this journey together
Stand tall, wear a crown and be sweet on the inside.
I realize this man was a monster and it was in no way my fault, but when I’m in a depressive state all of it makes perfect sense to me.
I was recently at a Women’s Conference put on by Quicken Loans Family of Companies (where I work). The first keynote speaker of the day, Tonya Allen, President & CEO of the Skillman Foundation, spoke about how she likes to set her goals.
In June, it will have been 3 years since my trauma. I’m constantly comparing myself now to the person I used to be before it all happened.
I feel so empowered lately with all the women’s marches that have been going on and with all the beautiful words coming from women of all cultures. I feel like now more than ever women need to stick together. We are fighting for our rights and fighting for our bodies.

If you are looking for motivation, inspiration, or a new outlook on life, you should read this book. It is one of my favorite books and I have no problem reading it over and over again. Rachel takes you on a journey through her life and how yoga has helped her along the way and where she is today.
For those of you who are doing “new year, new me”, good for you! It’s always a good time to better yourself. I just want to touch on a few points to help you to continue strong for the whole year and beyond!
It has come to my attention that people aren’t aware of how to deal with friends or family members who have gone through a sexual assault. I would like to give you all some tips and tricks on dealing with sexual assault right after it happens and dealing with all the issues that come along with it later. I also just want to educate everyone on what sexual assault can do to a person.
You may have noticed I haven’t posted in a few weeks. If you didn’t, hey! Pay attention!
